Johor Port Extends Relief to Flood Victims in Johor

Following to the recent flood situation nationwide, Johor Port and members of MMC Group in the Southern Region - Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Senai Airport Terminal Services, Senai Airport City and Malakoff have organized a post-flood relief assistance to support the recovery of affected villagers in the district of Kluang and Kulai, Johor.

The distribution of various necessities to  the flood victims was held from 8 to 13 January 2021. More than 115 affected families from Kampung Lukut in Kluang, Kampung Pasir and Kampung Sri Maju, Kulai received care packages consist of dry food such as biscuits, bread, mineral water, ready to cook noodle as well as personal hygiene kits. In addition to that, our volunteers distributed mattresses, pillows and blankets with the hope to ease the burden of the families which many belongings were destroyed by the flood.  Both Tuan Haji Mohd Redza Bin Abdul Rahman, Penghulu Mukim Senai and Abd Razak Bin A. Hamid, Ketua Kampung Sri Lukut were present at the flood relief centre located near the affected areas during the distribution. 
 
The flood relief programme was held as part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives under the community development aimed at helping the victims getting through the hard times especially under the COVID-19 pandemic environment which has already impacted people’s livelihood.
