Visiting Port Reception Facility (PRF)

Johor Port Berhad offers Port Reception Facility (PRF) services to support the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible handling of ship-generated waste, in line with International Maritime Standards and Regulatory requirements.

The Facility is operated by Alam Flora Environmental Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (AFES) with coordination by Johor Port Berhad as the authorised port entity to ensure seamless service facilitation and regulatory compliance.

Designed in accordance with MARPOL requirements, the PRF facilitates the proper reception and management of various categories of vessel-generated waste. This ensures environmentally sound disposal practices while safeguarding the Marine ecosystem and supporting sustainable port operations.

Waste reception services are available for vessels calling at Johor Port, with well-coordinated processes in place to ensure operational efficiency, safety and compliance at all times. Currently in its final stages of testing and commissioning, the PRF reflects Johor Port’s ongoing commitment to strengthening environmental infrastructure and advancing sustainable port development.
