Johor Port Supports 100 Underprivileged SPM Students Under Tuisyen Pintar Program

Dear Personnel of MMC Group of Companies,

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, supported 100 underprivileged students in the Pasir Gudang area namely from SMK Kota Masai, SMK Kota Masai 2 and SMK Pasir Puteh under the umbrella of the Tuisyen Pintar Program, a collaboration with Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor and Yayasan Pelajaran MARA.

As part of the CSR initiative, the Program focuses to help and prepare underprivileged students who will sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Examination by providing free tuition classes for core subjects such as Bahasa Malaysia, English, History and Mathematics.

In the closing ceremony that was held on 10 February 2023, Johor Port received a token of appreciation for its contribution to the Program, which was graced by Hishamuddin Abdul Rahim, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor and attended by K C Low, Head Corporate Affairs of Johor Port, Surieyani Samsudin, Deputy Officer of Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Pasir Gudang and Zainal Rashid Zakaria, Head Fund Section of Yayasan Pelajaran MARA.

Over the years, Johor Port has been actively involved in various CSR programs within the sphere of Education and Community Development, as well as expanding its philanthropic activities towards the local and neighboring communities.
