Johor Port Contributes School Supplies To Underprivileged Primary School Students

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, rolled out its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Jom Ke Sekolah Programme by contributing school supplies and financial aid to 100 primary school students in Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Cendana and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Pasir Putih, in line with the start of the 2023 academic year. School representatives were also present at their respective schools to receive the contributions from Johor Port on behalf of the students.

With the objective of lightening the financial burden of families with low household income, the provision of brand-new school bags and stationery supplies are to help these children embark on their new academic year confidently. It is important for students to be equipped with the classroom essentials to not only help them stay in school, but to thrive in their respective classrooms as well.

Johor Port’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative focuses on giving back to the communities especially in the areas where it operates, in order to facilitate the growth of the local socio-economy. As a caring organisation, Johor Port remains committed to being socially responsible in the long run.
