Johor Port Launches Professional Master In Port Management With UTMSPACE

Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, launched its first Professional Master in Port Management together with UTMSPACE in an inaugural ceremony that was held at Dewan Seminar, UTMSPACE Johor Bahru on 27 June 2022.
The launch was officiated by Professor Ts. Dr. Nazri Ali, Acting Managing Director of UTMSPACE. Also present were Sr Ts. Dr. Zakaria bin Mohd Yusof, Director Lifelong Learning of UTMSPACE, K C Low, Head Corporate Affairs Division of Johor Port, Hermee Tahir, Head Human Resources of Johor Port and Management team from Johor Port Berhad and UTMSPACE.
Also in attendance were the first batch of 21 students who were presented with the Offer Letters for their enrolment in the Professional Master in Port Management.
The contemporary Course Modules are developed by JP Skills Centre (JPSC), the Training Division of Johor Port, covering more than 20 knowledge areas of studies and skills required to run a modern port efficiently in order to be the key linkage in the global production and supply chains.
The Professional Master in Port Management, as the first pioneer programme introduced in Malaysia, is designed to enhance fundamentals and operational knowledge of the port professionals not only in Malaysia, but also overseas. It also aims to share knowledge and expertise in Port Management and strengthen talent management and development within the port communities.
