Johor Port Delivers Ramadhan Package and Hari Raya Aid to 150 Asnaf

The act of sharing and sadaqah jariyah in the holy month of Ramadan have been a tradition at Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port). On 18 May and 19 May 2020, Johor Port, a member of MMC Group shared the blessings with underprivileged communities and zakat recipients in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
This year, 150 asnaf from Taman Pasir Putih, Taman Air Biru, Kampung Cahaya Baru, Kampung Pasir Gogok and Kampung Sungai Pacat received the Ramadan Package consisting of essential goods such as rice, flour, sugar, spices and financial aid to ease their burden in making preparations to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Amidst the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), Johor Port team had delivered the Ramadan packages and Hari Raya aid right to their doorstep with the assistance of the Yayasan Pasir Gudang.
The CSR based event was organised in line with the true spirit of Ramadhan, which is kindness and compassion especially for the less fortunate within Johor Port’s local community. The programme was also part of MMC Group’s CSR based programme named MMC Prihatin which provides a good platform at fostering greater solidarity and spirit of togetherness between companies and the local community.
