Johor Port bags Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator Awards

JOHOR Port Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of MMC Corp Bhd, has bagged the Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the Year Awards in recognition of its performance and innovation success ideas in the port industry.

Its group MD Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh said the awards was also presented in tandem with Johor Port’s role and achievement in applying best practices within the organisation.

"We are truly honoured to receive the Multi-Purpose Terminal Operator of the Year Award as it signifies Johor Port’s unwavering commitment in raising higher standards to provide value-added quality services for our customer," he said in a statement released yesterday.

Che Khalid added that Johor Port is an integrated multi-purpose port facility located at the South-Eastern tip of Malaysia that provides a comprehensive range of port services to meet the individual needs of its customers.

The awards were given at the recent Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards Presentation Ceremony held in KL Hilton, Kuala Lumpur.

The Frost & Sullivan’s Best practices Awards recognise companies throughout a range of regional and global markets for superior leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

Frost & Sullivan’s industry analyst team benchmarks market participants and measures their performance through independent, primary interviews and secondary industry research in order to evaluate and identify best practices.

Johor Port also recently clinched the Industry Excellence Awards for the service sector during the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Industri Awards Presentation Ceremony for industry excellence in applying Malaysia’s Business Excellence Framework.
