Bulk & Breakbulk Terminal handles various cargo of any types and sizes, which includes edible and non-edible dry bulk, break bulk, general, project, heavy lift and gas-related cargoes. It also specialises in salvaging cargo from distressed vessels.
The full range of options provided by this terminal synergies with the Container Terminal and has managed to attract international attention. For example, Johor Port is one of few ports in Asia listed by the London Metal Exchange for the storage & handling of non-ferrous metals, which uses the inter-modal cargo conversion facility.
Johor Port's Bulk & Breakbulk Terminal possess:
- Dedicated conveyor system, supported by rail-mounted quay cranes.
- Linear berthing length stretches to 2.4km with draught up to 13.5m.
- Ample storage facility of over 230, 000sq.m. for bulk & break bulk cargo.
- Efficient logistics solutions for all cargo needs.
- Experienced and skilled stevedores of various grades in handling cargo and working aboard vessels.
