With a total berthing length approaching 2.4 km, Johor Port's Bulk and Break Bulk facilities are among the most advanced in the region. With nearly 240,000 sq. metres of existing storage facilities and more to come, Johor Port reduces the strain involved in searching for a suitable place to store your bulk cargo.

Break Bulk Cargo

Once dubbed a 'sunset industry', services for break bulk, also known as general cargo, has found plenty of room to thrive once more in Johor Port. This is largely thanks to our expansive Multi-Purpose Terminal and modern fleet of cargo-handling machinery, including mobile shore cranes capable of handling cargo of up to 300 tonnes.

Our break bulk facilities have received international attention after JPB's listing in the London Metal Exchange (LME) for trade in non-ferrous metals.

Dry Bulk Cargo

Mechanisation is the key to the incredible efficiency of Johor Port's dry bulk services. We have been utilising environmentally friendly rubber-tube conveyors for quite some time now, resulting in cargo handling speeds of up to 1,000 tonnes per hour whilst maintaining relatively clean port environs. The conveyor systems are also supported by rail mounted quay cranes, effectively allowing berthed ships to be connected directly to user warehouses.
